I have had my surgery scheduled 3 times and chickened out each time, with the exception of the time my blood count was too low. I am scared to death of two things. 1. Being put to sleep..which is sooooooo stupid because I have been put under 4 times before and came out just fine. 2. That I will fail. I have little control and am scared I will sabatoge myself. If I had control I wouldnt be fat in the first place right?? Now I have one final date...April 29th. This is the last month my insurance will pay 100% of my surgery. So I really need to get my head around this whole situation. When I think about life continuing the way is at my weight...I just wanna cry. Any advice, words of wisdom you can offer would be a godsend :)

Ok...catching up quick. New surgery date is 2-26-09 but they bumped me back a day to 2-25-09. Will post more after surgery!! :)

Day of surgery my blood count was too low so we decided to reschedule for after the holidays. My new date is 1-20-09 but I have decided to get the Lapband vs RNY. Wish me luck!!

I had all of my pre-admission testing yesterday. Nutritionist, Lab, EKG, chest xray and met with the surgeons PA. It was a long day....running from appt to appt from 10am-1pm and an almost two hour drive there and back. The PA said if I dont hear from her by Thursday all my results were good to go. She read my EKG there and said it looked perfect so I am happy about that. In this case no news is good news I guess!! Ive been on a lower calorie diet and getting my multi and protein in. I really like the Slim Fast low carb shakes but they are spendy. Over 6 dollars for 4 cans...sheesh!!

Whoo Hoo!!! November 25th, I am first on the schedule!!! I am feeling anxious, excited, nervous , happy, terrified....all at the same time!!! Roller coaster of emotions...but I will work through it.
