Kimanne, Just reading through your profile and see that your starting your journey. I have a daughter that feels the same way. I am scheduled for surgery Aug 19 and she is getting very excited for me now. I pray that your journey is successful and hope to see on the losing side soon!

Thank you for your wishes. Your daughter is probably afraid of changes that are going to happen to your and her life. No more pizza parties, quick lunches etc but she will begin to appreciate a Mom who has more energy and able move around. Everyone resists changes - me too and we are going for ONE BIG CHANGE here. My husband has had back surgeries, arthritis and had the surgery 7/12/2004 and came out of with flying colors, so you will too. My surger is Tuesday and I am more worried they will find something in the preop tests that will postpone it. Good Luck and my thoughts are with you, Maryanne
