This past week!

From my Yahoo 360:

Morning! What a stressful week!!!!! We were suppose to close on the house on the 31st. BUT that DIDNT happen! The seller failed to follow up with the contractors to finish my fence and just do go back and patch some of their shabby workmanship. So my day started out on a wrong note. Then I got a call from my dad, he had extra tickets to meet President Bush on the flight line after his appearance at the Ag Center in Perry. I was so excited!!!! Then...I got sick! I had to give the tickets away and get home.  I was on my way home whent he police directed traffic down another road. We ended us sitting there like a parking lot waiting for the President to ride by so we could go. I tell you, I was barely hanging on by this point. I finally got home by the grace of God. I hated that I got sick! But i really did not want to be known as "Woman from Georgia that Vomited on the President". I think my dad got upset with me when it happeend. Neither he or his wife have spoken to me since. Oh well. Too much going on to worry about them right now!

We did a final walk through on the house on the 1st. I am still confused about the fence contractor. The seller told them to give me $3000 worth of fence and a 4ft gate. Well...they gave me exactly that. But they didnt connect the fence in the back. I jsut had two sides and a gate! Now tell me, wouldnt common sense kick in? In this case, I think not! "Hey Bubba, she wants $3000 worth of fence and a gate, you think she wants us to connect the two sides?" "Naw Cleatus, she would of told us if she wanted it connected". The seller ended up coming out of pocket to enclose my backyard. Come on, I got a great dane and a pit bull mix, dont you think I want my backyard enclosed?!?!?! I worked in construction for 18 years, you would think I would get use to construction workers by now, lol

Oh my way home, I got a phone call from Hannah (my daughter) one of our dogs, "Buddy" the pitt mixed got out of the fence and ran into a car. Yes thats right, he hit the car, not the car hitting him. I frantically called my vets office and waited for them to call me back. No one ever did, I called again, still no return call. I called all around and they all told me the same thing, "If you are not an established client, we can not see you in emergency". WTH?!?!?!?!?!?! I have a dog that has a broken leg and is bleeding!!!! They told me to call the Doggie ER in Macon. I wanted to find someone closer to home. I was sooo upset that my regular vet didnt call me back. I tried one more vet in Warner Robins. I tell you, my late Nanny and the good Lord must of been looking out for me becuase the vet tech answered the phone and not an answering service. She put me on hold and the vet got on the line. I was sooo upset and crying, I had to hand the phone off to Hannah. Once I gained my composure, I got back on the phone with Dr. Hilliard. They told me to come on in. I have to say, they are the nicest most wonderful office I have dealt with since leaving Columbus. Now the reason I said that earlier about my Nanny, she use to work at a local vets office for 30 years. Everyone in this small town that has been here for awhile, knows my whole family. My grandfather (Big Daddy) was the Ag agent for many years and the Executive Director of the Housing Authority. Any, back to my story, lol Dr. Hillard started out working as a vet tech at the clinic my Nanny worked.

Anyway, Buddy has 2 fractures in the area that would be considered the "elbow" on his right leg. When I picked him up last night, he has a splint on his leg and a big ole' satalite dish on his head! Poor baby looked so funny!!! He keeps trying to chew the splint. Thats the puppy in him. He chews on everything. When we got out of the truck, Jack was in the backyard moaning and growning. He has been doign that since Buddy's accident. He was jumping all around so happy to see buddy again. They have been inseparable since we walked in the house. Jack is even shaing his Power Ranger sleeping bag with Buddy.  It's cute, they have to be touching each other, lol right now they are laying down back to back. It's so funny how Jack is. You would swear he was human and not a dog!

Oh I am not done yet, lol I closed on the house on Thursday. Everyone was happy and I got my keys. I was so happy that it was finally over. I went and got the kids and went to the house to take a look around and to look at the finished fence. I was sooo upset. They enclosed the fence alright. But there was black stuff all over the fence. Kayla asked if it were burnt. We walked back there and it was BLACK MOLD. I was sooo upset. I walked around to the other side and it was worse!!! So Friday I spent most of my day talking to the builders. They went out and looked, and said, yes ma'am it's mold, we will clean it off for you Happy about that b/c the night before the agent had told me it was green and to clean it with bleach. Now I do not claim to be the most intelligent person, but I do know my colors and I know the difference between black (with white fuzzy stuff) from green. Thats why I skipped her and went straight to the builders. My agent on the other hand is AWESOME!!!! I love the girl to death!!! If you live in the Warner Robins area and looking to buy or sale a house, let me know. I will give you her name and number.

Well, thats my week in a nut shell. I am about to get ready to meet a friend to go to the Christmas Made in the South in Macon. Sorry this blog is so long today, but its been a week!!! :) Take care, keep your head up and God in your heart!

Happy Halloween!!!!

I sooooo love the Holidays!!!! I guess in a way I never really grew up. All birthdays and holidays are a HUGE thing for me! I like to go out big. this year for Hallween though I wasn't able to do what I wanted too due to buying a house. Last year we had a HUGE party at my dads house. We had over 50 kids to show up. There was candy, cookies, cakes, you know, all the good stuff we are suppose to stay away from! haha This year I have made a few ghost cookies. Even sold some at the yard sale last week. They went over very well. Even had a man come back by twice just for the cookies!!! So you know they must of been good!! They are so simple to make. I am going to see if I can take the same technique and make snowmen cookies for Christmas. Email me if you are interested in the recipe.

Well, as some of you know, we are suppose to be closing on my house today. But thats not going to happen. The owners agent did not follow through on the walk through list like they were suppose to. I know know what happened. She just kinda disappeared for a week. About 90% of the minor repairs were not completed. I am talking about touch up paint, just little stuff. Then the major things like the gash int he shower hadnt been completed nor my fence. I kicked up a stink about it yesterday morning to my agent and to the bank. Needles to say, when I went for the final walk through last night, everything was completed except for the fence. I do not understand that whole deal. They were suppose to give me $3000 worth of fence with a 4ft gate. Well, they gave me that, but for some reason connecting the two sides of the fence wasnt done. So the owners are coming out of pocket to finish the fence. So I am getting more than a $3000 privacy fence :) The apprasier will be going by on Thursday at noon when the fence is complete. We close at 1pm Thursday. Lord I cant wait till this is finally done. I am so sick and tired of going through all of this!!! I am ready to move in!!! I am excited, so are the kids. Well, I better get back to work. I will update more later!!
Peace & Love!!!

Good Morning Folks!

Yesterday was my mothers 53rd birthday. We all surprised her by showing up for cake and ice cream. It was really nice to see everyone. It's a shame, I only live 30 minutes away and I saw them more when I lived in Columbus (hour and half away). She was very happy to see us all. Before we went over to her house, we stopped at the Mema's house. She had a bunch of clothes that were donated to her by a local shop. She was thinking the girls would be able to fit into a few of them. We went in and discovered that most of the clothes were my size!!! I made out like a bandit! I even grabbed a few shirts that could be worn as maternity shirts. You never know, gotta be prepared!!! hahahaha

When we were at my mothers house, everyone was complimenting me on how "tiny" I am. It still makes me blush. I am soo not use to it. They kept making comments that I need to gain some weight. I haven't lost in weight since June. If anything I have put on 5 pounds. I have lost a lot of inches though. Mama told me when Thanksgiving rolls around she is going to make me eat a whole turkey! Ok, wait, isnt this the same woman who use to tell me, "honey, if you don't loose weight, you are never going to find a man"?!?!?!?! YES SHE IS!!! What I think is funny is that my husband married me when I was 225. He has never known me as the "tiny" person I am now. Still have a problem with that word!! hahaha Oh well. When I told everyone I was 135 and happy where I am, they were all shocked. They thought I was close to 100lbs. What can I say?!?! I carry my weight well. Always have. Even at my heaviest weight. Folks would make comments, "You dont need this surgery, you arent big enough!!!" I would always come back with, "Yeah, tell that to my knees and lower back!!!" Anyway!

My job is going well still. I am kinda getting bored with it. I want to be in a position that means something. I hate filing and the regular secretary work. I wanna be somebody!!!! OH and I DO NOT want to work in ACCOUNTING!!!!! I rather much do something with substance. On one good note, I do like the scheduling training classes for everyone on my flight. We are in the process of getting me trained for ETMS which will be for the whole squad. That will look good on my resume!

I better get for now. My coffee has gotten cold and I need to get more. Oh, I forgot, my husband bought me a coffee mug that holds about 3 cups of liquid. It's fromt he Big Dog store from the Mall of America. It says, "If You Don't Like My Attitude, QUIT TALKING TO ME!!!" hahahaha I love it! Everyone picks on me about it. I think its funny!!! Ohhh one more thing!!!!! I promise!!!! If anyone is looking to buy or sell a house, let me know. I have the perfect agent for you. She is the most honest person I have ever met. She will tell you like it is and will work HARD at getting what you want/need. Her name is April and it doesn't matter what company the house is registered through, she can still show it. Now I do not recommend folks easily. So if I am telling you about her, you KNOW she is AWESOME!!! Contact me for her info.

Ok, thats enough of that. Later folks!!!

Good early morning to ya! It's Saturday around 6:30am. I know, what the heck are you doing up so early on a Saturday?!?!?! I didn't sleep to well last night. Might of been the caffine I had last night. I kept waking up and had some reallly strange dreams. Thats the last time I watch Flava of Love before I go to bed! hahahahaha

Its sooo cold outside this morning. I LOVE IT! It's about time it started feeling like Fall here. I let the boys in last night. Jack (great dane) has a Power Ranger sleep bag that he sleeps on. His pet, Buddy (pit bull/boxer mix but looks like a beagle hahaha) still has to sleep in the kennel at night. He isn't as hyper as he use to be, but he is still teething. Last time I let them come in, Buddy chewed the corner off my end table. So into doggie prision he goes when I go to bed. I let them outside this morning to potty, they did their business and was right back at the door within minutes, hahaha I don't blame them one bit! It's fregin cold out. I am just glad this weather hit on the weekend. I hate throwing them out in the cold during the week when I go to work.

The girls and I are meeting April my agent this morning at the new house. We are doing a walk through and meeting the fence contractor. This is really exciting. Maybe thats why I couldnt sleep last night. Just like the little kid on the commerical to Disney World. :I'm too excited to sleep!!!" Hopefully we can work something out to where I can start taking a few things over soon. I have been buying a few things here and there, like for the kitchen and the guest bathroom. I would really like to get all that stuff done before the move.

Speaking of kitchens..I have finally after 11 years decided to change the decor of my kitchen. I love watermelon and thats what my kitchen has been for so long. Now I am into roosters. Not just any rooster. I like the tuscanny style rooster. When I went to see my husband, I was showing him the decor I wanted to use. Without skipping a beat he says, "My baby likes cocks". I thought we were both going to die laughing! Sorry if that offended anyone. But it was just too funny and I had to share!

I got to talk to my best friend Brandy last night on line. I sure have missed her like crazy. She started back at work part time this past week. Her baby boy is like 10 months old now. I hate that I do not get to see her and her family like i want. As soon as I get settled into my new house, she is coming down for a house warming party. Is it ok I throw myself a house warming party? I never know about things like that now. Oh well, it will be nice for folks to come to MY HOUSE :o) Just gotta figure out where to put everyone, its kinda small!!! hahah Oh well.

It's time for me to make some coffee and some breakfast. Didn't do to well with protien yesterday, gotta start early with it today. Ya'll take care!!! Will post pics of the house later on :o)
