Paula Ross: Dont worry too much about the coworkers failed surgery. My mom had a bypass 10 years ago and it failed. We beleive she had a staple line breakdown as she can eat the 'whole container' in the cottage cheese test. They did different surgeries back then. Now the success rates are better. I am having surgery even after seeing the rough time my mom had. On a positive note: she is considering a revision to help her regain her health and spend quality ime withher grandson. GO FOR IT GIRL!

Paula.....I can't believe the nerve of some of the people closest to us. I guess in her controlling mind she is "helping" you. Anyway, don't trip chocolate chip. You have shown an amazing amount of control and strength by what you have done so far. Next time she mouths off, maybe just say something like, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you at the last support group meeting - did you have a one on one with my Dr. about what I should be eating? - I didn't think so. Why don't you worry about you and let me worry about me. Thanks muffin" That oughta have her stomping out in a huff. Then ask to take some ribs home for later!!! Ha. Anyway - you look beautiful and have much to experience ahead. DO NOT let the thoughtless comments of others shoot you down. Head up girl...you rock!

Dear Paula~~~~~~Don't compare yourself to others or estimated progress graphs and such. You have done a tremendous job. Don't let your Mother get you down. Keep up the good job. Sounds like you are doing everything the right way. I am so proud of you and the great loss that you have had. God bless. PEACE
