I am wishing you a safe and complication-free surgery and a quick recovery. Congrats on this courageous beginning of your new life. I had my open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and am so glad I did. Its the best thing I could have done for myself.

Laura, Best wishes for a successful surgery with NO complications. Hope your recovery is rapid so you cna enjoy yur Healthy NEW life. I've talked with a couple of gals who had surgery at Madigan. Thye do an excellent job.

Hi Laura, wow my surgery is the day after yours! Are you as anxious and excited as I am? Dr. Thirlby at Virginia Mason is my Dr. and I think we are having the same kind of surgery. I have read good things about your Dr. from others at this website. I'm in Federal Way, have you heard of any support groups in this area? You'll be in my thoughts and prayers, Dolores

CONGRATS on your surgery date!! I just had mine lap with Dr. Elliott as well, and things went great. I am still AMAZED at how little pain this is! Good Luck to you, Madigan takes great care of you! Jen
