Hi Mari, Congrats to you and I hope you get the date you long for. I pray that you have a good outcome with your surgery and recovery. Let me tell you it is so good to give or throw away clothes because they are TOO BIG instead of too small! It won't be much longer for you! When you become a post-op you will see-It is so much fun being a loser! LOL. Thanks for the post to my page. Bless you, Julie

Hi Mari, My doctor took me off my arthritis meds one week prior to surgery and put me on Tylenol 3 with codeine. For the first 6 months, it was LIQUID Tylenol 3 which is ULTRA sugary but I tolerated it well. Now I'm on the Tylenol 3 with codeine PILLS every 4 hours as needed. My surgeon said I'd never be able to take regular arthritis meds again; I had been on indomethacin for years and eventually Vioxx. I never tried the Celebrex and don't know if that's allowed after surgery. Best wishes on your journey and God Bless!

Mari-Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your beloved cat. Please tell Ashley how sorry I am. I have a wonderful little dog that keeps my husband and I sane and insane at the same time. I can't imagine how I would feel if she passed away. They become your family and children. You are both in my prayers.

Mari, hang in there. It will get better. I think you should be very proud of yourself for getting back to work. I'm sure it isn't easiy. I think that getting WLS surgery requires two very important things, Patience and Persistance. You will have to excersize patience as you waight for your insurance to kick in and persistance at getting yourself to work every day and doing your best during that time. I just know if you can do those two things, you'll be well on your way to WLS and will be so successfull. Good for you for asking the day care center for help. I'm sure that was hard, but you will do everything you have to do to get through this tough time and then things WILL get better. I wish you all the best.
