This is Suzza's husband Rick. Well it has been a bad day. The doctor started the surgery and came out about 45min later. She has a basball size growth in her colon. My daughter and I agreed with the Doctor that the growth had to go. He removed six to eight inches of Colon reattached both ends and sent the growth for Pathology workup. The quick frozen section was neg tive for malignant cells. Sue is resting but has a great deal of pain. Tomorrow will be a better day. No lab results for seven days. Thanks to all of you. Rick

I pray the peace continues on. I know you will come out with flying colors and pray for a uneventful speedy recovery. 23 days post op and feeling better every day. Suzanne

So close to a new you and so many emotions! I haven't had mine yet but am hoping for this summer. My thoughts are with you before,during, and after. Keep up with the posts. They do help. With each reply you get there are 10 others you have helped or touched in some form or way. Listen to your peers and mostly your Dr. and support group. they know what you need. I'll be watching for those updated posts!

Well, in about 8 hours I will be heading for surgery. I am at peace and very positive. Also very hungry! LOL! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone here who has given me words of encouragement, support and friendship. I hope to pay all that forward when I am post op. Stick around, I will probably need a swift kick in the butt from time to time! Thanks again See you on the thinner side! Suzza~~

Suzzanne, your day will soon be here. I am sure that it cannot come fast enough, right! I am a fellow Ohioian who is THRILLED with the results of this surgery and I pray you will be too! Many have been down the path you are setting out on. We are all happy and healthier now than we have been in years! This is a GOOD thing you are doing for yourself! Remember the rules, protein first, water, and move around...follow them and you will be a big loser before you know it! All my best wishes to you on your upcoming day!
