Two things of importance in the last week... first and very exciting.. I recieved my approval letter for referral for consultation from M-Plan!!!! Second - I had my Psych Eval and my consultation with Dr Jones... She is the coolest!!! and short... I was amazed she is so knowledgable.. amazing.. and is probably only 5 foot tall.. little dainty woman.. It went very, very well... she said that the approval for consultation is actually the hardest part with my insurance, the next part should be a breaze.. and since I have this whole "no job, paying for COBRA" thing, I may get it done by the end of September. She leaves slots open for this kind of thing.... How cool is that... And I will be put on the cancellation list.. but, first get approval. ...

Hey Angela, Hang in there girl I am in the same boat, but older!LOL! I informed my Employer I would be having surgery for my Hernia (I didn't lie, just didn't get into full detail!) and two days later, walking papers! COBRA is an appropriate name for the insurance, it has taken such a huger bite out of my unemployment! I to asked my surgeon to move it on the surgery date due to my situation and all I got was nothing but exscuses. Sooooo switching to new surgeon who I found on my lovely WLS site! I think I've lost weight due to no money for groceries! LOL! But it will all be worth it when I join the others on the other side of thin! My biggest fear is finding a job after, I to don't want to start anything new till after! Take Care and God Bless!

Hi Angela, I am sort of in the same predicament. My husbands contract is expiring and he might be contracted out with another company. I am approved over the phone with PHCS but you know that that does not mean Approved quite yet until I get in all my paperwork. I want it all done by Aug 31st when his contract will expire so we too dont have to pay Cobra. Good Luck to you Saphya

<font face=arial>Morning All... <p> Well I did it... I set the appointments.. on Aug 14th at 8:30 am I have Psych Eval and at 12:30, I have my surgical consultation. Every one, even my PCP is working extra hard because of my job situation to get me approved and through the loops. <p> They are looking for cancellations and everything else.... I hope everything goes quickly with out any more obstacles... this has been a year in the making... I know others have gone much longer..
