Karen - Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life, and I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. I know that the first couple of weeks can be rough, but with all of the support from the people in this group, my surgeon and his staff I know I can make it!

Thanks for your words of encouragment on my surgery page, Karen! It really means a lot. I can relate to the cigarette thing too, I just quit a couple weeks ago, in preparation of surgery, & it still eats at me sometimes. But I know I have to do it. Just remember that it will speed up the healing process if you don't smoke too. BTW, congrats on the great weight loss so far! Best wishes to you... Jamie -surgery date, 10/09/02 =0)
