Joan WOW! your big day is almost here.... I know you are excited and a bit nervous about now.... I sure remember those feelings..... don't worry they are normal feelings about this stage of the journey.... Joan may this journey bring you greater health and healing.. God is so good and I pray that he watches over you and brings you through to the other side without harm... Well I survived the week of doctor visits and testing. I have gotten approval from the heart doctor, not without a lecture, pulmonary doctor and the egd doctor. Just wainting on lab work and everything should be ready for the 4 Jun surgery. Scared? yes Just as anxious? Yes. It has helped having fellow supporters who have been giving me encouragement. The nurse in the procedures room asked me why I was having the surgery and all I could say is because I won't have to worry if I will fit in the chairs. I got stuck in the reception room chair, thank goodness my Kenny was with me to help me. I wonder if those places realize how embarassing it is for us who can't fit in the chairs.

GOODMORNING ~JOAN~ CONGRADULATION ON UR UP COMING SURGERY... I HAD THE PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST AND FOR ME IT ONLY CONSIST OF "NOT BLOWING" BUT SEEING HOW MUCH AIR U CAN INHALE...U WILL HAVE A TUBE IN UR MOUTH AND SUCK IN AS HARD AS U CAN... I THINK IT WAS ABOUT 6 TIMES I HAD TO DO THIS... SO GET READY... GOOD LUCK AND DON'T PANIC... GOD BLESS U ON UR NEW ADVENTURE...HAVE A SAFE AND HEALTHY JOURNEY... LOVEDOVE

Well the time is getting closer. I have sleep apnea and I go tomorrow to get my cpap machine along with an oxygen. I start all my testing next week. Starting on Monday with lab work, x-rays and gall bladder scan to Friday when I have my endoscopic exam at Fair Oaks Hospital. I am little worried about Pulmonary function test, don't know what that is. I go on Wednesday to the Cardiologist, hope that is OK. I just want to be OK enough to have the surgery. I feel like this is my only shot at getting better. My feet swell could be due to my heart, thanks internet, something I find out thing I don't want to know. Still with friends I will "survive" and get to the losing side of my life.
