Gina-Good luck on your surgery. Please try to calm your nerves and don't look at that page again. It's good to be aware of possible complications, but that page doesn't tell you all the success stories either. Just think positive that you will be a success. May God be with you.

Gina, Congratulations on your surgery date. I know from first hand about the nervousness prior to surgery. I want you to concentrate on your beautiful young children and believe in our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Ask him to let his will be done. You will do great and God bless you

Dear Gina,Don't let the memorial page discourage you from doing what will probably prolong your life.I read the pages too and It scared me also. But I do believe more people reap the benefits from this surgery then die from it.Keep your faith in Jesus and he will carry you through safely to the other side.May all heaven's angels encamp around your bed.May you have a speedy recovery.God bless you,LOL

Gina - All of us who have gone through the surgery have been where you are right now. I too read the memorial pages before my surgery (Open RNY 3/28/02 -80.5 lbs). Its frightening and heartbreaking to read the stories there. But also remember all the GOOD stories you see on the message board. We're all here pulling for you. If you are comfortable with your surgeon, and have done all your research, I'm sure you'll be fine. Remember, we're all praying for you and God is watching over you. Good luck on Friday and let us know how you are once you're up and around! Lisa

Gina...what you are feeling is so mormal! I went thru the exact same feelings myself. I am only 2 weeks out of surgery, and remember how scary it was right before hand. Soon you will look back and thank God for the opportunity to do this. Dont let it get you too freaked out...Try hard to keep your mind on positive things. One thing that helped me was to go to the before and after pictures on this site. It is very encouraging! God Bless, Lori

Gina, you know it is perfectly normal to be very nervois at this point. Remember the statistics, if a gambler was offered the odds you have, they would take it in a heartbeat and be overjoyed. PLEASE HOLD ON TO THE HOPE! You can and will make it. There is a whole new life waiting for you in just a few days. Just to make sure, I'll send up some prayer balloons. DAWN H in WV.

Gina, You should never look at the bad. That close to the date of anything. Yes there maybe alot of unexplained reasons for these deaths. But we need to also look at the people that have done the sugery and are here with us now. And talking and walking with us. I am sure we all go threw doubts and I am sure I will too. But we need to realize this is going to make us healthier to take care of our childern. Have faith. I am sure you will do fine. I will keep you in my prayers. Will be looking for your updates.
