Cat keep your chin up. I got a quack eval too. Turned her into my insurance. She berated me for having this surgery and told me I was crazy to have someone chop on my body. I left her office in tears. I called the psychologist for the group and got approved. I do suffer from depression. But since the surgery and 40mg of paxil I feel great. It will happen for you too. GOOD LUCK. Kimberly Eazell

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers on my upcoming surgery. I truly believe that this kind of support is what keeps us all strong, and able to make it through this tough process. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well. Take care of you, and I'll meet you on the 'loosing' side of life!

Hi all. I'm home and feeling much better. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. As my daughter told you I was denied. I will start Monday on my appeals process. I already called and talked to the BTC, and she said that the psych. evaluation did not recommend that I have it done. So I will get the new doctor that I'm seeing to write a new one, because he believes that it will help me. As for the first doctor, if any body knows from my vents on her she was unprofessional. She was also turned into the pysch. board. I will be updating my profile to let everyone know where I am at in the process. God Bless, Cat Price

Hi there, this is Kristi, Cat's daughter. I'm just writing to keep everyone informed on what's going on with mom and her cyst. Well mom wasn't able to come home today like we were hoping. The doctors decided to keep her another day and put another bag of antibiotics through her. BUT in the meantime of mom being admitted into the hospital she recieved her insurance letter on rather she was approved or not... Needless to say she was DENIED. She isn't a happy camper at this point. Although she's in the hospital she can't wait to get home and have it out with the insurance company. (Just like my mom. If there's an argument, count her in) :) Sry mom had to share. Anyways, since she isn't here and I'm able to express my opinion on everything. Here goes. I think the insurance company is completely wrong with denying her. I was the one that got the letter and the first to know about it (sorry mom Me is nosy) I read the letter about 3 or 4 times and each time, it just made me angrier. The reasons they are saying they denied her was completely wrong. Everything that they stated in this denial paper mom has went through. The BMI of 40 for at least 1 year and the BMI of 35-40 for at least 4 years. They are also saying she has to have a medical, surgical, psychiatric and nutritional evaluations. And mom has already went to all these people, put out monies to ones that the insurance wasn't going to cover. She is trying her best here. She is constantly researching this surgery and on here giving her blessings to others getting ready to have surgery or hoping for it. I mean don't get me wrong, when my mom first told me that she wanted to have this surgery I was for it, but then it all changed when I seen the statistics to it. I rode her hard, as well as some of her other relatives. And I'm sorry for that. Because I see how much my mom would like to have this particular surgery. She has sat me down and showed me pictures on here. and the facts on the surgery and everything. She even let me go to the hospital with her and visit with her angelette Laurey. And after all that I've seen I'm really amazed. And I'm glad to say that I've changed my mind on things. And I'm supporting my mom through everything. She really wants this surgery and I'm backing her 100%. Soooo... that when my baby is born she can babysit MORE... j/k no, so that my mom has a chance for a longer life. LOVE YOU ALWAYS MOM... Good luck... FIGHT the insurance company. I'm with you... LOVE YA KRISTI
