HI!!! I wish you all the very best on your upcoming surgery. I hope all the "surgery angels" swoop down to surround you and protect you. I consider this a life saving procedure, I KNOW it saved my life and my husbands too. We both had wls in 2001 and have lost a total of 270 lbs. We both have about 50 more to go. Andrew, Cheer up, mate. I had a 3 month wait for my surgery as well (from the time I was scheduled). It seemed like a year away but its true what people say, it just flies! You have several months of beautiful weather that will enable you to be outside and hopefully that will keep your body busy and your mind occupied. Trust me, before you know it you'll be a postie. Then you'll be impatient about how slow your weight loss seems lol. Its ALWAYS something. By the way, you don't always have to come here with a joke, funny story or smile on your face...we are here for you no matter where you are at on any given day.

Congrats Andrew!!! I was looking at the messages ans saw yours so I wanted to let you know that there's someone in Arkansas cheering you on! My suirgery is May 6th and it seems to be so far away. I don't know why though, I have been trying to get this for 13 years and when I finally got a a surgery date, it seemed like it would be forever. I made me a calendar that counts down the days until surgery.....33 and counting! Good luck as you go through this life changing time!

I have received a final confirmation on a date, it will be July 8th. A little later than I was originally told, but better than November. Allison, I wouldn't be having surgery if not for back problems, I fully understand and support your decision, there are good alternatives out there, and I wish you the best of luck with whatever avenue you decide to pursue. Those that like to send nasty e-mail, I always enjoy verbal or written stupidity. It usually makes me feel good to know that my life is that much better that others would wish to attack in order to attempt to bring me down to their level.
