Good News ! Sue is back from surgery. The nurse said that they were able to fix the loose stitches easily. Sue seems to be waking up just fine. She is sleepy and groggy, but not having any problems. Her fever is still down and they said her lungs seem to sound noticeably better this afternoon. They may even try and wean her a little bit off of the ventilator. The nurse said " she has taken a step in the better direction " !! Yee Haa !!!!! I hope this is the turning point where she starts to get better now! Keep prayers going! Thanks go out to everyone who has posted words of encouragement to both Sue and her husband Ron. I will make sure Sue reads all of them ! I will post again soon!

I talked to the nurse this morning and they found that a couple of stitches had popped loose inside the surgery site due to hard coughing. They are going to take Sue in for another surgery to re-stitch the ones that broke loose. The nurse said that her fever is down today. I guess I don't know what else to say except that I am worried and wish things would start going more in the right direction!

Just talked to Sue's nurse, and it sounds much better today!! I am so glad. Her fever is coming down, and she has been regulating her own pain medication today. Keep those prayers coming.

Dear Ron and family, I know this is extremely hard for you, watching someone you love struggle so hard right now. Please know that lots of people are praying for Sue and you right now. I never met Sue but was supposed to have surgery on the 4th too. Mine got postponed, but before it did Sue took the time from her day and her worries to try to comfort me. God knows where Sue is and what she needs. Please know that we care and will continue to pray for you all. Lynn Starcher
