Andy is still in CCU. They will try to wean her off the beathing machine today, Friday. She is scared because the ventalator wasn't expected and when they tried to remove it she couldn't breath, that's what scared her. Doc told her it was because of the length of her surgery, also her weight, is the reason she needs the help for breathing. She is alert and anxious to become a real loser.

ANGEL REPORT: I had a message from Andrea's husband waiting for me when I got home. Apparently the surgery had been difficult because of the lack of talent displayed by her last bariatric surgeon (not his words). She'll be in ICU for a few days and stay hospitalized for at least a week. A bit more hopeful than my last report. :) I haven't been able to get through to her yet, so I'll hold off on posting that info until I'm sure it works. Her hubby said he'd call back with more info later on tonight. My little Andrea.....one "loser" who's flyin' high at the moment, I'll bet. I can't wait for that natural high to kick in when she starts experiencing all the new things that are well on their way to becoming possible. Please keep her in your prayers.

ANGEL REPORT: Just got off the phone with Andrea's son. She'd just gotten out of surgery thirty minutes ago (about 7:40 pm CST for those taking notes). The operation was originally scheduled for 12:00 noon, but since her son told me it took four hours, I'm thinking someone was running behind schedule. According to Andrea's husband, Andrea will be in ICU for 2-3 days and in the hospital for close to two weeks. The doctor had to "redo the mesh". As of right now, she doesn't have a room number or a phone number so I can reach her. I'm so proud of my angel who has fought so hard to become a loser. :-) You're still in my prayers, Andrea. More updates to follow.

Andrea, my two surgery "sisters" and I wil be right behind you! Our surgery is 2-5-01. I will be thinking about you Wednesday morning and will say a little prayer. If your angel, (hint, hint) will post your phone number, I'll call you in the hospital. Then we'll have to talk about our mutual love for England. God Bless you and grant you a calm passage to the thin side!
