5 Year RNY Surgiversary & 3 Months Post TT!

Sep 09, 2013

Yesterday was my 5 year RNY surgiversary, and tomorrow I will be 3 months post Tummy Tuck.  I’m doing very well on my weight loss journey.  My weight has fluctuated a little over the years.  I initially lost 127 pounds after my RNY and stayed at 178 for about 2 years.  Then I decided I wanted to get even smaller and went on a very strict diet and got down to 158 but that didn’t last long.  I went back up to 175 and stayed there again for about a year then slowly went up to 185 and have stayed at this weight for about a year now.  I would love to lose 20 pounds and maintain that but if I don’t I’m still happy as long as I don’t have any more gain.  I still feel like a success.  I will keep on trying and I believe if I don’t ever give up the fight against obesity I will remain a success.  I continue to keep a daily food journal on Myfitnesspal.com and I exercise daily.  I love Obesityhelp.com because I get a lot of encouragement from my OH friends on here.   Reading posts and viewing photos of other OH members is also very helpful and encouraging.  I also get a weekly email from Kaye Bailey LivingAfterWLS.com that is great.  I get emails from WebMD with links to articles on fitness and healthy eating and I read health & fitness magazines.  All of these things help me stay on track.  I thank God for this opportunity for a better life and for all these wonderful resources I have that help me so much.
