Did anyone see that couple they featured in a segment on Access Hollywood yesterday? He had lost over 400 lbs. and his wife a lesser amount as well.

I don't know how many of you have seen their latest one, but in it the gal giving her "testimonial" for the product (or service? I never did know what GoLo IS

Over the long haul, he has certainly done an excellent job (except for at least a couple of worrisome "ups and downs" that I noticed personally

This was really a sweet story - they are two years out (from their "gastric bypass") and doing great, having lost a total of 250 lbs., and now both of them are able to spend more time actively with their three young sons. Listen carefully to what the

The couple in the program had their surgery ("gastric bypass", but doesn't specifically state which type of WLS) two years ago, and are both doing GREAT (she looks almost skinny now

Neat article that was on our local news here in Dallas last night .. The couple had their surgery ("gastric bypass", but doesn't specifically state which type of WLS) two years ago, and are both doing GREAT (she looks almost skinny now

I know this video is very short, but has a lot of good info. packed into it. Not only have the studies shown the positive effect on liver health (e.g. fatty liver disease) following WLS, but also cardiovascular health.

Batwingsman posted a discussion topic 2 years, 8 months ago

Makes sense to me, and sort of a no-brainer that WLSers fare better when hit with Covid than others, b/c of their post-op weight loss ...

Batwingsman posted a discussion topic 2 years, 8 months ago

Wow. I just don't understand this .. the article states that no cause was given, but then seems to imply it may have been a suicide, based on her past "mental health struggles". She looked SO great after losing her 500+ lbs.

Batwingsman posted a discussion topic 2 years, 8 months ago

Grrrrr ... (maybe she needs to confer with "Pioneer Woman", who has managed to LOSE 1/2 that much weight during the Covid crisis by adjusting

Looks like she is rocking .. has now lost 265 lbs. Keep it up, girl!

Batwingsman posted a discussion topic 2 years, 8 months ago

I haven't been following her story on T.V., so I don't know whether she is a pre-op or post-op, but if she is post then drinking more than a bottle of liquor a day I would say = transfer addiction ?

I bought one of those type of scales recently that (supposedly) measures water, muscle, and bone %%% in addition to lbs. This was for a very good friend who is on the down-slide from stage "c" cirrhosis of the liver, unfortunately.

Very interesting ..

A little inspiration for yer journey .. Two of the celebs admitted they had WLS (and one bashed it - ugh ), but no matter how they got it do

Have a question relating to Colombia surgeons. I found out the other day that the daughter-in-law of a friend of mine is going to be flying to Colombia (don't know which city) next week for apparently a revision from an unsuccessful RNY a few years ago

Now that we're less than 5 months from the re-set date, do we know for certain that it is going to still be taking place in October?

This article supposedly encompasses the latest in medical studies on the subject, but frankly, no new surprises here. I guess though you co

I was reading this list of world cities/countries that have the most/least, etc. of different aspects. Sadly, the only place the U.S. (or any U.S. city) held on the list was "most food consumed" of all nations. Check out this factoid (which is actual

Interesting .. I knew she recently had V.S.G., but didn't know several years earlier she had another type of WLS .. The article calls that one "Gastric Bypass", which would seem to indicate RNY, but then it goes on to say she decided to have "the band

Here's the latest ... I was stunned to learn that less than 35 years ago, NO state even had a 15% obesity rate .. Many states now have significantly over TWICE that level ..
