Hallelujah! I finally got my letter of approval on May 6, 2008. I am now waiting for my surgeon's office to call me to set up the surgery date! I thought I would roll on the floor in praise when I got my approval but I was like "about dang time"! I have been in the process since 2003. This is indeed a dream come true! I am waiting for the new me and to be on the Victory Bench, I don't like the phrase the "loser's bench". I AM a winner and failure is not an option! Thank you for all your prayers and continue to keep me in your prayers as I head towards surgery!

I am still waiting on a approval or even a response from my insurance company. I have called twice and they say they have not received anything for me. My office emailed me today saying that they are going to refax it again today. They normally hear something back within 24-48 hours or 2- 3 weeks. This makes my 3rd week. People I have spoken to with my same insurance said they heard something verily quick. I guess I am the exception! This is truly a test of my faith! Keep praying folks!!

Hey folks! I went to insurance on April 1st! I am now waiting on approval. I thought I would never get here! I am looking forward to surgery. We are looking at having it in June. Keep praying for me!

I retook my H. Pylori on Feb 25th and I got a call from my surgeon's office on the 26th saying that my test came back negative of all bacteria! I am so excited because that was my last step that I needed to take before I go to insurance. The office said that Dr. V has to do his letter of medical necessity and they will get all my paperwork together and send it off to insurance within the next 2 wks. Keep praying!

Hey Everyone,
I have been taking the Prevpak for H. Pylori. I tested positive for having bacteria found in my stomach so I had to take the pills for 14 days. I hate taking pills and these things are NASTY! I'm talking major gagging!   My retest has been scheduled for 2-25-08 and I am praying that I get negative results. This is the last step of my pre-op journey and hopefully my information should be sent to insurance for approval soon after. I am getting so excited as time draws near. Those who know the words of prayer, please keep me in your prayers!!
