I am almost 8 months out and I am down 110 pounds. I would have never thought I would be this small again. I am about the size I was 9th grade. I am now wearing size 12/14....this is truly amazing. Life has been so full of gifts from God, I am so grateful.

I went Wednesday for my 3 month check up. My blood work was great and I am down almost 60 pounds. I am so excited. I don't feel hungry and the weight is pouring off of me. On a personal note the kids are adjusting well to our family and their new schedules.

I am almost three months out and I am down 52 pounds. I am feeling great. I am still having problems with the protein. I can't stomach the protein drinks or bars. I am constantly trying new things in hopes something will taste good. My home life is joyfully busy, since our adoptive children moved in with us last week. I am also back to work and trying to get used to my busy schedule.

I am two months out and I am down 37 pounds. My clothes are definitely sagging....It may be time to get a couple of transition out fits. I am feeling good, still no appetite. I am, however, having trouble following the diet plan. I am eating faster than I think I should, but I am not having any problems with pain or fullness. I also don't eat the quantity I am supposed to because I can't stay focused on my meal for more than 20 minutes. I also am finding that I am extremely thirsty when I am eating. I am trying to work on these problems as they arise and get into good habits.....but it is soooooo difficult. I am trying to increase exercise and tone to avoid too much saggy skin, I hope that I can stick with it.

I am feeling great and down 27 pounds in just over a month. I am so excited to get my g-tube removed in 6 days. I know that I will be able to do so much more. I am eating good. Everything I have eaten has set well. I have had chicken, shrimp, tuna, grouper, eggs, cheese, mashed potato, sweet potato, crackers, lunchmeat, cream cheese and peanut butter. I am doing better at getting my protein since I am able to eat meats, eggs, cheese, and p-butter. I am still working on getting enough fluids. I am averaging about 40 oz and having a hard time getting 64 oz.
The adoption process is moving fast. We had our three prospective adoptive children come for a visit this last weekend. We had a blast. These children are wonderful. Hopefully they will be living with us by August. Keep praying for us.

It has been awhile since I posted. I am still doing good. I am trying to weigh myself weekly, so Wednesday I will now how much more I have lost. I am eating and drinking better. I am getting close to 60 grams of protein now that I am making shakes in the blender (water, protein powder, SF pudding, 1/2 a bananna, and SF carb. solutions ice cream). I make about a 6 oz drink that has over 20 grams of protein. I have started a little early on the mushy foods. I am sort of between the full liquid and mushy. I can eat scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, shrimp, chicken, and cheese. I don't ever feel hungry and I haven't eaten till I fill sick yet. I am measuring out the amount I am supposed to eat. Nothing has come back up yet. I still need to push the fluids, 64oz is really hard for me. I average about 40 oz a day.
The adoption process is moving quickly. We met with the kids again this Sunday. We took them to the zoo in Tampa and had a blast. They are asking when they can come live with us. We are having them over next weekend for the weekend. Hopefully by the end of July, they will be living with us. Keep us in your prayers.

My tube is much better, I am back to clear drainage. I was worried I had internal damage, but I guess whatever was bleeding has healed now. I have some great adoption news. We were match ed with a sibling group of three and we got to meet them on Sunday for the first time. We had such a blast, they are great kids. We will probably be spending most of the summer getting to know them and if all goes well they hopefully will move in before school starts.

First problem today. When I drained my G-tube this morning it contained lots of dark colored stuff and fresh blood. I called the Dr. office and was told it might be that my stomach is irritated and to not put protein shakes in the G-tube. The second time I drained it there still was lots of black yuckie stuff but I didn't see blood. I am taking it easy and hopefully whatever is bleeding will heal. I hope there are no future problems.
