This morning is good, I have had some gas floating in my stomach today, nothing horrible just uncomfortable at the top of my sleeve, I'm walking and sipping, trying to get it all down, we are wating on Dr. A to come by and see us before we leave to San Antonio until we fly out tomorrow...I am a little scared to get all the water down and keep the gas from being so yucky...I am excited I have done so well and just want to keep up good progress.

Hello friends! I am sleeved and sassy! I actually feel good and I am on ice chips, IV being removed, and walking as much as possible. Dr. Alvarez is one great surgeron, everyone here is nice and it's exaclty what it looked like on utube and all the research, He is wonderful and I am so happy with this decision. I posted some pics three new ones from today, my husband took them, he is really surprised too at how well I feel and it's making him feel alot better about all of this.
It's a beautiful day and I am looking forward to whatever challenges lie ahead for me to be healthy in 2011! thanks so much everyone for your advice and support, see you all on the losers bench!

Well I am here at Eagle Pass Holiday Inn Express posting from my laptop as I am headed to the hospital at 7:15am to have my sleeve surgery! I am excited and ready, I know pain is coming but It's all gonna be worth it! I am 15lbs down from liquid diet and looking forward to the weight coming off as I start eating healthy again, working out and getting to a new me! I am ready to get this done and behind me...so I can tell of my experiences on here as many of you do everyday!
I will post again as soon as I'm able!

Hey all, I am down to 211 wahoo! 15 lbs loss on liquids, pretty excited to get started on the losers bench before surgery and after! I go in Friday, I am READY! I have no doubts that this is what I need to permanently change my life! I am looking forward to my new life sleeved...

Well, I am on 14lbs lost doing the liquids, everyone is saying why have surgery if you can do this on liquids, HELLO! As soon as I start eating again it will ALL COME BACK, it's amazing how everyone thinks see you can diet and do it. NO I OBVIOUSLY CAN'T! I know that they don't want me to do the surgery and see this as an extreme solution, but diets are not a solution, the solution for me is WLS and then to relearn healthy eating and exercise. I will do everything I am supposed to do to make this surgery as safe as possible, I know there are risks, but the risks are worth it to me! I am ready to change my life, be healthy and get my activities up, work-out with my gorgeous husband and travel and not feel HUGE everytime I stand by him! I want to feel good about myself and know that I am doing what I should to get myself strong and wise about what I have been doing to my body! and with this surgery, I WILL! Please pray for me doing this difficult time, but I can do this and I know it's the right decision for ME! Brooksie

Well 226lbs to 214lbs this morning, still doing liquids until Friday when I have my surgery in Mexico! I can't believe I have went with out food for these 5 days, I have never been able to do well on diets, but I guess know that this is important to the surgery I have kept with it! I love how my stomach looks flatter and no soda for about 2 1/2 months I think has helped a ton! I felt I was always swollen drinking them, so I have survived just fine without them! Haven't even missed them at all. I love that I finally made this decision and I believe I will wish I did this years ago!

I am a very busy mom and wife with an incredible career in a great community and I have been blessed with an awesome family and 5 children! a daughter 17, and boys 12, 11, 9,6, (3 are step-sons) but I have been overweight since I was 20 when I had my daughter. After 17 years of it, I am taking on the new adventure and going 10-29-10 for wls with Dr. Alvarez, I can't wait and know that I am ready to be healthy in 2011.
