Well, I have been on this journey for a very long time - five years to be exact! I was close twice. The first time, I had approval and then the insurance company rescinded it one week before surgery stating they did not have all the information. I was crushed and I moved to Indiana to pretty much not deal with things. Then, the second time around, I was a month away from having surgery (self-pay), had the money together and made the reservations, and then ... to make a long story short, moved out and filed for divorce, so ... Here I am again. I have accepted a position with the state, due to start in March. The possibility is there again for me to have this surgery. I have done very good at maintaining myself over the years by not gaining any weight; however, the last year has been fairly stressful and I've gained almost 30 pounds!!! I'm honestly ready to begin making changes!
