Vitamin D/kidney stones
Jan 28, 2009
Ok so I am just over 3 months out and 38# from my goal this is exciting. I have gotten some very helpful information from other here who have had kidney stones. My urologist had advised me not to take calcium citrate supplements as I had calcium oxalate stones. I have researched to find out that this information is outdated and calcium citrate may even be beneficial to them. I had my bloodwork done by my surgeons office and found out I am Vit D deficient so I will be taking my supplement anyway. The dietician at work suggested that I get a referral to an endocrinologist to assist with this deficiency so I plan to ask for one while I'm at my doctors today. Will blog more later. Going to scrapbooking retreat this weekend am excited to be getting away. I am going to the Poconos with my hubby for our upcoming 13th anniversary can't wait.
