Just a quick update on how I am doing, and I have to say pretty good so far.  I have been slowly including healthier choices of the foods I like and sticking with the recommended serving sizes.  I read labels and make most food chices based on the fiber content and grams of sugar.
I am staying away from anything that has more than 5 grams of sugar per serving.
My water intake has improved again but still not consistently at 64 oz per day.  I have added 2 cups of green tea per day but try not to add it to my fluid intake.........even though I know it's okay to do.

My Hemoglobin is now at 9.8, up from 9.1 in Sept. '06.  iIgot a B12 shot today and am waiting to see my primary and fine out what her plan is.  My anemia is chronic and not related to WLS.

I have been working out 3 times a week as I promissed myself I would and I feel great.
I have had a few stressors this month that would normally have thrown me into not taking care of myself, but I refuse to take anything out on myself and become negative.  Talking about being negative, the board has had a strange vibe this past 2 weeks.  Without going into detail I just want to say that people need to be open minded and think about what they post.  They need to keep in mind that there are many different personality types out there and it does not take much to be misconstrued.  Choose your words wisely ..........and your audience, ....and as it has been said many times before......."If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all", here's another one, "Think before you speak".  TYeah Yeah yeah, I know about freedom of speech and all that but, there is nothing like having to eat crow with egg on your face !!!

LATERS!

I cannot believe that the new year has arrived!  For me this is a time to reflect and plann ahead.....my health and well being continue to be high on my list of priorities.
I accomplished many goals last year, in fact I have achieved all I set out to do since surgery; change my job, go back to college (graduated in Dec. 2006) and of course lose weight.  I had to laugh when I read through my own profile, you know it's good to do that every once in a while.  I can't believe I had set so many different weightloss goals for myself and all of the little tricks I played on myself in order to get there!

To all pre-ops and newbie post-ops, just stick to the rules, try not to deviate (too often) and you will succeed.

For me, moving forward into 2007 means continuing to live a healthy lifestyle by:

1. Exercise moderately 3 times a week at home or at the gym.

2. Try not to miss more than 2 days a week with taking my vitamins and suplpements.

3.  Continue to incorporate all 4 basicfood groups into my daily diet.  I hate the deprived feeling which usually leads me to eating the wrong things.

4.  Have a protein shake on weekdays. (I can't stand them now, but I am committed to having 1 for breakfast).

5.  Continue to enjoy being 48.
