One more day to go! My final favorite meal!

Well I just have one more day to go! I can't believe I'm still not nervous. I worked my butt off today cleaning out my laundry room and then me an Tom did some major cleaning. I have totally finished except for the basement and that is a whole new project to work on later after I recover. We are stripping the carpet up and everything and it will take a long time to complete it so I'm in no hurry to start it. 3 floors can be a handfull.
Well in my doctors appt. they told me to do all my celebration meals this weekend so I did and since today is memorial day I considered it the weekend.. haha... I completed it with a 16oz Ribeye and BIG baked potatoe with butter and sourcream at Long Horns Steak house. I had a salad and then completed it off with a BIGG peice of cheesecake! (has always been my favorite desert) YUMMM.. Then we went to watch my grandson's last baseball game and he is one awesome ball player I'm here to tell you... and I'm not saying that cuz he's my grandson. If he keeps it up you''ll see his name in lights one day! Well tomorrow is my last day at work before my surgery. I am suppose to eat lightly, soup, jellos.. etc.. get my drift... well I don't know how many people want to eat soup in 90 degree weather but I suppose I'll get use to it. Alrighty then... I'm off to bed. I may have pictures to post tomorrow night. I'm not sure I will like them but I am told I should do this so I am. Oh and if you can't see all the photo's I have on this page. Just look to the bottom of Baileys pictures and click on the line that says VIEW OTHER PHOTOS. I think that what you see on this page is the last ones I posted. Anyway... nite! :) Oh I failed to mention we later this evening went to Dairy Queen and I had a Banana Split....... yummmmmmmmmmm !!

Okay.... I started my day off today with my first appointment at 9am at the hospital. I had to meet with the preopp people and sign a bunch of papers. Then I had to go to the lab for them to draw 5 tubes of blood and give them a urine sample. Then my final visit was at 10:30 with Dr. Fuzz and everything went well. I haven't heard the results of all the lab test yet but I'm sure if there is a problem they will give me a call. Anyways... I'm all set and ready for this. I didn't want to worry about any house work so we've actually been doing some spring cleaning for a while and were about done. We took 3 hugh bags of old clothes to the goodwill and I'm sure I will have more later as I loose weight. Gotta run for now.Cathy

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!! I'M APPROVED!!!!!!I have been so waiting to get my call from Susan and she finally called me today around 11:30am this morning. I was so trying to prepare myself for her to tell me they didn't approve me. Well she didn't even tell me I was approved. She just asked me if I was ready for my surgery!!!!!!!!!!!! Well needless to say I was so excited. I'm still on cloud nine trying to let it sink in. I think my body was relieved to finally hear from her because I felt so blah the rest of the day. I've done nothing all evening but sit on my butt! I only have 2 1/2 weeks to prepare myself for this surgery. I've been working in my house for the last month trying to get all my spring cleaning done before my surgery and I'm about done with what I plan to do. I only have my bedroom closet left and if you could only see all the clothes that I will be giving away! Sinful to own so many clothes and not wear most of them. I have my nutritional visit with Mary Martha on the 23rd and I have to give her $350 on that day. It will cover all of my nutritional visits up to a year after surgery. I will also have my visit with a Doc for my history and physical and lab work. Well I'm exasted from this day of exciting news and now I am going to try to sleep. Nite ZZZZZ (snore) ZZZZZZ (grit teeth) ZZZZZZZzzz
Thyroid test good and no news yet!

May 9th, 2007No news I guess is good news. I'm still waiting and waiting and waiting........ Thyroid test came back OK I faxed to Susan today in case they need it. Hopefully I will hear something soon!

Susan and I have been corresponding email all afternoon. She sent her first one this morning and she told me she received a call from Empire BCBS and they have changed my carrier... She said not to panic that she's worked with them before.... Well of course I'm panicing.... we went back and forth a few times with information and she has resubmitted it to the new carrier. Her only concern was that there was some thyroid test that I'm lacking. Well lets keep praying she's wrong... I'm really getting antsy now...
Finally got a message and I went to a support meeting!

Well I need to up date in a hurry. Susan emailed yesterday before going home from work. First let me tell you I work at the same hospital as her. She said she had my paper work together and would be filing it today friday 4/27 but she needed me to call for their fax number and give her my new insurance info. Well I also went to a support meeting last night and she told me that if I am approved I have a possible surgery date of May 29th. Yes I am soo excited but now we wait to hear from insurance. Pray pray pray that I am approved. I will update as soon as I know.

Well I keep waiting to hear something and I'm getting messages from more friends they are approved. I'm getting so impatient waiting. I honestly felt like maybe I would get a call from Susan this week but who knows. I have not been happy the last couple days. A couple of NA's that I work with are going to be out of workfor me to get off. Lets hope not. Pray for me to get out of this slump....

Still getting closer. Should be soon! My friends are all getting approved and now I'm waiting for my words..... If your just getting started don't get to excited yet. You have a long ways to go and now I know why they call this a journey!

Well I thought since it was almost a month since I last updated I should put something on here. I really don't have anything to tell you right now. I did email my doc's nurse to find out where I stand and I surely was not happy to hear that she still has not recieved her information from Mary Martha the nurtritionist and she is out of town and won't be back until next week so she knows she won't receive my work up until she returns.... fuey....... Gee how long does it take to pass on your paper work...I think it's already been 6 weeks since I saw her. I last saw her around the beginning of February and Susan said she hasn't recieve MM paperwork yet and she will let me know when she files with my insurance company she still tells me that there are many people ahead of me. From what I'm seeing alot of people I know now are being approved. Well I guess I'll just have to keep my patience... sure seems like this is taking forever.. keep praying I will be approved .... Have a happy Easter!
