Not much to report. I called pcp's office yesterday to see about getting a referal to the Sleep Center at the hospital and I'm waiting on that call. I also called my old nutritionist office at Dr. Helmans office and she is going to meet with me on the prose and con's of Gastric Bypass Surgery and maybe I will work with her. Will see..... I've also done some research and found a site that says the average deaths in WLS is 1 in 50. That is really scarey. :(

Well its just 10 days past my 48th birthday. I started working at my current job as a CNA for an orthopedic clinic and I work with this wonderful person name Susan. If she had never told me, I would have never believed she was 125+ lbs bigger than she is now! I was so impressed by her weight loss that for the last couple months I have been really looking into this surgery to see if this is something I should consider since I've tried every which way to lose weight (Weight Watchers 4X's-1) down 37-40# 2) Maybe 25# 3)16# 4) down zero), Neutri System-down 60#, worked with dietician at my OBGYN's office-down 50# and always gained it back. Now I have some minor stress also known as depression and my health is slowly deteriorating. I have hypertension, irregular cycles, degenerative hypertrophic facet arthropathy in the lumbar spine, and now I feel certain I probably have sleep apnea. I wake up many nights choking and didn't know why until recently. I am an addict to obesityhelp.com and I'm constantly inspired by everyones personal goals and journeys. Thanks for sharing and now I hope I can share my experience with everyone else to.
I contacted my insurance company last friday to see what they could tell me. They said I needed to contact my pcp and they would have to send them a letter about my health issues. My pcp said that they feel I have a good case and they are in the process of getting the letter faxed over to MedCost. Well an hour after I talked to my pcp's nurse I had an accident at work. Dummy me didn't see the footstool that was used for the last patient and I fell over it and needless to say with this weight I broke my radial head at the elbow. I have a doctors appt. tomorrow to see if they are gonna have to do surgery. This is really the pits because I need time to take off for this surgery later. Anyway... I feel sometime it will all work out. For now I'll just have to wait to see what the insurance company says. My arm hurts so I'm off to cook dinner!
