NSV and Scale - Skipping 2 weeks and I am craving the step on!
Oct 25, 2013
Okay - so probably not the smartest thing I've done to myself, however I decided to skip weighing myself from week 2 to week 4 post op I will be at week 4 on Oct 29, 2013.
I started Pre-Op diet at 330.
Surgery Day: 319
1 Wk PO: 309
2 Wk PO: 305
3 Wk PO: ?
4 Wk PO: I can't wait!
As for a NSV's: My bra strap needed to be adjusted a notch and I didn't have to suck in to put my size 26 jeans on right out of the drawer. Yeah me! So whether the scale moved much or not, I am happy for the little victories so far.
How can I possibly drink more water!!!
Oct 22, 2013
Okay - so a little woe session.. I have been constipated for over a week! Ever since I started on mushy foods. My nutritionist says I need more water, however I feel like I am drinking water all day. I feel like my butt just hates me and wont let anything leave!!! I'm not sure if its my vitamins or what I'm eating. I cut out cheese and put in prunes.. but nothing! I feel fine, except I know food is going in... so???
Anyone have a suggestion - other than talk to my doctor? Or is this normal? Water if it is the key, I don't have much more time in the day to drink it. I already keep it by my bead at night and take sips all night long if I wake up.
Also - my vitamins make me queasy, I now space them out throughout the day but the multivitamin still turns my stomach. Suggestions?
Weight staying the same.... 3 weeks out yesterday.
Week Two! :) Down 4 more forever!
Oct 16, 2013
Title says it all! I weighed in last night with my nutritionist and I am down 4 lbs from week 1. Very excited. I think I would be more but I have been not hitting my protein or water intake goals. Mostly trying to find how to get it all in!
Moving on to MUSHY foods today - exciting also. What's your favorite?
Ahh, the 1 Week Post-Op!
Oct 09, 2013
Feeling GREAT! So I started at the Hospital on Oct 1 at 319 that day, yesterday at my 1 week post op I am down 10 lbs, to 309 and my energy level is back up and past where it was prior. (Insert happy dance here). I am released back to work (office job) and I stopped my pain helpers on day 2.
As for the food... well I tried soooo many different things prior to surgery, but wouldn't you know it everything I bought is now WAY too sweet or WAY too salty! So... I am now in a rotation of Greek Yogurts mixed with UnJury unflavored and Unjury Chicken broth, yumm. Oh an those IsoPure items that I was hoping would give me variety in texture (yuck). Not for me. I did find that the Banana Muscle Milk is to my liking but have yet to find the light version so its just for variety and not a staple.
Any suggestions for ways to get protein added in during the puree phase (starting it tomorrow) would be a blessing!

Tomorrow is the day!

Tomorrow is the day! I am excited more than nervous (though I know nervous is okay too). Mostly excited to get into this next phase of weight loss on my road to freedom.
Just yesterday I was having to put my Tennis shoes on to go out and I was upset that it winded me to scrunch down like that. So I opted for my slip-ons. Grr!
Cheers to the next phase!
10 Lbs is 10 Lbs...

Okay so today I am one week away from surgery... weighed in, 10 lbs down! Way to go me! I hope this continues as I wanted to be down 20 prior to surgery. BMI then would be under 50 which was a goal for Pre-Op.
