4th of July Weekend...

...Went out to Pensacola Fl beach to get a way for the weekend...well actually got a room in Mobile and drove down to the beach bc everything was sold out....well on the way there I was fine, however we parked about a 5 minute walk to the water...by the time I made it to the water...I could hard breathe and had to lay down...everytime I sat up I had to lay back down...my heart was racing and felt like I had been running for my life...as long as I didnt sit up I was fine...I was with my partner and her god son...and I didn't want to spoil their fun...she kept asking/requesting to take me to the hospital/call 911...I declinded and told her I would be ok...I don't know if I was dehydrated/overheated or what...after we left...it took me about 25 minutes to get back to the car bc I kept stopping to catch my breath...after 2 bottles of water..and some cool air for about 30 minutes I was fine...so all in all I didn't make it to the water...but I had a nice time...still on full liquids...had some clam chowder strained soup it was good...also been...eating carb control yogurt...I can do half of the 4 oz cup...I try to get in as much water as I can...I stop the protein shots bc I got burned out on them...so I'm back to the protein shakes...30 grams per 11 oz...it works for me...not certain of any weight loss yet bc havent gotten on the scale...not until next monday when I go to the doctor...however I can definitely see the extra skin coming in...I try to walk as much as possible as well...however I have huge thighs..and I need an exercise that will help me tone hell shape them....lol to myself...all in all I'm doing ok....

full liquids...begin today....

..today started my full liquid diet...so excited about that...ummm some yogurt....not certain if my scale is correct, but it said 377...I'm not really going to go on that until I go to the doctor...just wanted to post...feeling better each day...some times I have my moments when I'm in pain, yesterday I had to call and asked my doctor to call in some meds for me and he did...
some hydroc...oh I do not like the way they make me feel..so will have to cut the dose in half or opt not to take those...I also have some pills for muscle spams they make me sleepy....so we will see...today I manage to get in 64 oz...of water ....YAY>....I feel like I'm doing big things....

thank you all soooo much for all of your warm wishes and prayers....all went well with surgery...was giving myself time to pull it together....ok so here we go..i had to be at the hospital for 6am checked in and waited...i didnt get called up to prep room until 9am and some nurse name charlene talked me to death dont know about what bc was thinking about surgery....so many people came and introduced them selves...i dont know who is/was who..i was getting poked..pulled..iv'd..wrapped..tucked and tied..so i see what u meant @ my sis S.M...lmao..and i didnt actually go into surgery until 11am and I was done by noon....how about i was in the recovery room from then until a little after 5 pm..bc they said the room i was getting the patient hadnt check out and then once they did they had to wait for housekeeping to clean it up..the nurse who was so nice to pump me with morphine every time i cried pain which i loved..was getting a bit irritated bc everyone one was getting off except her..all they gave me was 2 small ice chips..lmao thank god i wasnt hungry..so she finally decided to wheel me down there and they gave me my own nice private room...allllll the way down at the end of the hall...where i began to think the nurses were forgetting about me...so 1st night in my room and i'm told i'll go home tomorrow...yeppie...ok so 1st nurse comes in rushing said her name so fast i dont even care to remember..her words were im about to get off we are changing shifts and your new nurse will be in shortly sooo...i asked for something for pain she said ok..however never returned until she was with the new nurse who said hi..so i said to the old nurse you forgot about me i asked for pain meds and you never came back she responded OH im sooo busy running back and fourth doing paper work...checking in on patients and something else...before i could build up the strength she dashed out the room and the new nurse said ill bring you some...oooookkkkk hours later she comes with meds and so im so sorry i forgot your meds...so of course im like what the hell is going on in here no one wants to works...ok moving on..ok now all thru out the nights...they coming to check vitals, temp, and omg my sugar...o i hate the finger pricks...did i say i hate em...i mean needles and ivs dont bother me...but those pricks were horrible..ok all thru out the night im thinking only a few more hours and i can go home.....well for some reason I couldnt shake the nauseous feeling and chest pains so my doctor came in the morning and told me i was staying bc i was vomiting..so now ok looking forward to saturday..bc just like thurs...friday night was the same exact thing..so needless to say they kept me from thursday. until sunday and i was freed...lmao..to go home by 8 am..as of today...i feeling much better by each day...i wasnt giving any prescriptions..but im fine.....im trying to get all the liquids in but its hard...so i make sure i at least get all my daily proteins..well at least a little over 60 grams..and about 40 ounces of liquids and my vitamins....before I left the hospital i weighed 387 and my 2 week follow up is july 11...i try to walk about 30 mins to an hour a day back and fourth thru the house...also was sooo excited to finally jump in the shower...lol...

Oh and i'm feeling pains every now and again it depends on what im doing...i went to the store today with my partner and that was fine i didnt do to good on the bumpy streets...oh yeah now its really hard trying to get in all the liquids and proteins and vitamins im suppose to in a day...my stomach cant take it all....but i got some protein shots and pour them in powerade zero..ea shot is 32 grams of proteins and ea powerade zero is 32 ounces... so we will see how that works....i use to love the protein shakes..now my taste buds dont like it...so will have to cont. to work on getting in more protein some other way.....but in a nutshell thats my story....oh also before i left the hospital i was 387

......ok so this morning I woke up thinking...OMG all liquids...what is that???...lol to myself...thinking of all the things I want to have right now...it's funny how your mind plays tricks on you, however I have goals to reach...so just as soon as the thoughts came rolling thru my head. right back out they went...replaced with happier thoughts like....I think of a healtier newer life waiting for me....bad thoughts bad thoughts...lol...well for breakfast I think I'll have a BIG MEAL........REPLACEMENT SHAKE....lol...get your mind out the gutter....joking to myself...to stay focus...I'm not a morning person, but got up early this morning and jumped on OH....oh so how I love this website...big kudos to the inventors...I have read a lot blogs/post and chatted with quite a few interesting ppl and hopefully have gained some friends for life...well off to work in a couple of hours...signing off now b/c it takes me forever to get ready...I am the bggest procrastinator...lol...

preop visit today from 425 to 395

...so I went to my preop visit today....I lost another 2 pounds...total 30 pounds on my own....I think I did an awesome job, of course I wish I would have lost more...but I'm happy....so like only a few more days before the day...now I'm starting to feel it...starting to feel EXCITED!!!!..
.....now I can't wait....so like the preop diet is still going good....OMG...I think since like time is so close...I'm beginning to want everything I see....I'm being good though...I haven't fell off the band wagon....I also went to the store today to get the things I will need for the 1st week after surgery...it was funny looking at all the items and none of them were the normal items I usually throw in my basket....you know double stuff oreos...gallon milk...cookies and cream ice cream...cheese puffs...sugar juices...cakes...all the junk foods...instead it was more like gas x strips..complete chewable multivitamins..powerade zero...low sodium chicken and beef broth as well as low sodium soy sauce...protein shots...oh and can't forget the awesome sugar free pops and mooo bars....

14 days pre-op diet

....Started my pre-op diet as of Thursday June 9th and I have to go for my pre-op doctor visit on June 17th...not certain of any weight lost at this time...was told to consume 2-3 protein shakes a day btw breakfast & lunch and for dinner I could have a weight watchers box meal and a salad...sugar free drinks and unlimited sugar free popsicles during days 1-12 and days 13-14 all liquids no solids....woohoo...
....Next had fun on my vacation...I finally made it to Miami...also Disney & Atlanta during my 11 day tour...will post pics later...
my pre-op diet has been good so far, however today I was sick as a dog...I don't know what caused the illness, but it came up...still had a headache from yest....it finally went away tonight..I couldn't remember what to take for pain and the nurse was not available so I took 2 excedrin...and I'm all better....nothing else new to report...but will update tomorrow...I'm tired..

As the date gets near...reality of living a healthier life still hasn't set in yet...I think once the iv's are in my arm then it will...I don't know...however just felt like venting...happier news...I'm on vacation as of tomorrow evening...going to Disney, Miami and Atlanta...then back to work on June 7...surgery June 23....I'm excited...anxious..nervous...all in one....but I will definitely enjoy myself...I hope I don't lose it and gain any weight...I do plan on partying...smile...just thought I would check in...

I lost another 7 pounds since April 21st....a total 27 since mid February..I'm soooo HAPPY....only 13 more pounds before to reach the goal of 40, which is what the doctor ordered....
SURGERY DATE>>>>>DRUM ROLL....LOL.....JUNE 23rd......10 days after my 37 birthday....What a wonderful birthday gift...Thank you JESUS.....
