On June 5, 2008 I was banded...I was so scared that I started crying before my surgery...I wasn't afraid of the decision I made to have surgery, but the fact that it was elective and I have two beautiful children made me really think about what I was doing...TOO MUCH!!! Well, I was going in to the Operating Room at 12:30, and was at my sons ballgame at 6 p.m. and then stayed for my daughters immediately after his...so I was at the ballpark for about 4 hours...I went back to work after 6 days...super easy surgery and recovery...As far as having the surgery goes...BEST DECISION EVER...Food doen't control me anymore, and I hope it stays this way...Bottom Line...I LOVE MY BAND!

June 5th I will be banded...I am so excited and nervous...I cant wait, but the pre op diet is killing me!!!

Dr. is going to submit my claim for approval in Jan 3, 2008 ...I am so excited and nervous!! Hope all goes well and I get a speedy approval!!!

I am starting to get very excited and nervous...Since I am changing ins in Jan I am currently waiting, waiting, waiting...I have completed everything I can until I find out if ins will require me to do more...I go each day to check the mail in hopes that my NEW card will arrive so I can fax it to my surgeon...

I was contacted Friday to have my psyc eval...I just keep thinking ...just one more thing accomplished on this road...I can't wait...hopefully my surgery will be sometime in Jan...If the ins battle is won!
Starting the journey

I am just beginning this journey...I have recently changed my ins (will be effective Jan 2008) to a PPO that will cover the procedure...To date I have had blood work ...Lipid profile...Thyroid Function...I also have had a sleep study..(Not Fun)...Today I am going for my Psyc eval packet...I am getting things done but man are there alot of hoops to jump through...(if only that jumping was counted as exercise!!!)...I am excited and scared...I am so tired of being FAT...I just want to look and feel better...and believe me I have exhausted many weight loss options...so the ins company cant say I havent tried..
