A little about myself
Mar 20, 2008
Hello, My name is Lori and I am 2 weeks 4 days post op as I write this message. I have pretty much been overweight my entire adult life...I am 39, to be 40 in JUNE!!!! WOW, Well, a new decade a new life!!!!
I have been married for almost 5 years and I have 2 beautiful children, I have a 3 yr old daughter who was born on Christmas Day!!!!, and I have a son who will be 2 in June!!!! I waited a long time to have my chidren, and I want to be around for them for a long time.......with health issues creaping up, I knew something needed to be done!!! SO I embarked on my journey back on Sept 11th when I attended my first seminar. from there I was able to make an apt. with the surgeon, but could not even get an apt. until Dec. 6th.
On the 6th of Dec. I got my surgery date....March 3rd.... That date seemed so far away, yet here I am already post-op.....I am down 30 lbs and looking forward to reaching goal!!! I try to keep in mind, "Slow and Steady wins the race" There is no race in this case, but slow & steady is still my goal. I guess after all my attempts at Weight Watchers, I still have that mind set. I know this time will be different!!!!!! I am SO excited to be on this journey and feel blessed to have everyone here @ OH to share it with....Thanks everyone
