My story, what makes my story any different then yours. Probably not much. I am 34, a working mom of twin boys and married to my husband for the past 7 years, though we have known each other for the past 11 years. I love my kids, my husband and my new puppy. I don't love the fact that I have been over weight practically my entire life. In elementary school I was always the tallest and probably the biggest. I remember in 6th grade trying to find the cool parachute pants and could not find any in my size and crying in the dressing room when they would not zip up. I hated changing in the locker rooms because I was always the bigger girl. My 12th grade basketball coach did not like me because I was not as thin as the other girls. I have always been the good friend. I never dated much. I have never shared clothes with my sisters because they were always thin.

I have been on a grocery list of diets through the years: hospital diets (x3), medical weight loss (x2), weight watchers, south beach, atkins, plus all the fad diets: hotdog diet, cabbage soup diet, count fat, count calories, ect. My husband and I even had joined a gym and paid a trainer to work out with us, only to fail at that too. The only time any of these diets worked is when I had no responsibilities and could just worry about what I was putting in my mouth. Well as you know, life does not work that way. So as soon as life got busy the pounds got put back on plus some. I was recently on a hospital diet again and was doing well as long as I was drinking the shakes. But as you know, that can't last forever and it did not.

I am so ready to take this leap and again put me first and not feel guilty about it. There are so many things I want to do and I know as I get older with all this extra weight I will not be able to do the things I want to do. I don't want to be the fattest person in the room anymore.
