Three years post-op

Unbelievably it has been three years since I finally took the step that changed my life. On March 31, 2011 I celebrated my 3 year surgiversary! Where did the time go??? It has flown by. Why?? Because I have been having the time of my life. I initially lost half my body weight, 134 lbs. I went from size 24-26 to size 4-6. And guess what??? I'm still here after 3 years. My weight has only flucuated by about 5 lbs, up and down. I do eat regularly. I just can't eat as much. I can eat more than I could in the first year or so, but still limited amounts. I am sooo very active. I've started a part time job in a high end boutique. I NEVER would have been able to do that before. As unfair as it is, I never would have been hired. After finally water skiing for the first time in 2009, last summer I was finally able to slalom like I used to in my younger, thinner years! We are still dnacing every weekend. Riding 4-wheelers. Camping. Almost ALL knee oain is gone, even while doing all these activities. The list goes on and on. IT CAN HAPPEN!!! It DOES happen!!! It DID happen for me!!! I am so happy, my marriage is fabulous, LIFE is GREAT. If you are just beginning this journey, or thinking about it, Take it from me...it is life changing!! Just DO IT!!!
