Starting on my VSG journey

Hello..so I finally made the decision to go down the VSG road towards permanent weight loss.  I am 44 years old and just had my first surgical consult appointment yesterday.  I starting weight for this journey is 373 pounds and BMI over 50, but I do not have any co-morbidities so I feel lucky in a way. Hopefully the fact that I do not have any co-morbidities does not affect my insurance approving the surgery.   I have to do 6 months with my insurance assigned case manager before I can be approved for surgery, so today starts the journey with small steps in the right direction.
