I have been overweight since my father passed away when I was 10 years old.
I have been contemplating WLS for a couple years and right before I was really going to start digging into it I got pregnant. We had been trying for over a couple years so it was quite the pleasant surprise to say the least!
I had my daughter in September 2007 and immediately followed up with my PCP about getting a referral.
My PCP referred me to Dr. Kerry Kole. I had my first consultation appointment with him in November and started process in January.
My insurance requires 6 consecutive months of diet history- so I started that in January-June. I had surgery on June 9, 2008.
I have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, reflux, arthritus, pcos, infertility, a blood mutation, Bell's Palsy among other things. I am hoping that this surgery will clear up most of my heath conditions.
