My name is Marci.  I was severely obese at 220 pounds 5'5" tall.  I am 38 years old and have battled my weight since I was 19 and pregnant with my first child.  I gained 97 pounds with that pregnancy and have never regained a steady healthy weight.  Not for the lack of trying.  I have done every weight loss plan available and spend a fortune on several wardrobes in differing sizes.  I am so thankful I came to the conclusion to have surgery.  I did a lot of research and it only motivated me more and confirmed that this was right for me.  My goal weight is 130.  I dream of the day when I can obtain a healthy weight and maintain it for any length of time!

This past summer my weight kept me from doing the things I love the most.  I love the beach, go Lake Michigan!  I only went one time and wore shorts and a t shirt.  My social life had declined significantly because I was frankly embarrassed at how I looked.  I was tired of my weight being the first thing I worried about in the morning and the last thing I thought about at night and every minute in between.

I eat for comfort, out of boredom, celebration...you name it.  I have a desk job so my activity level is low.

Feel free to read my blog.  I update it monthly.  I have no regrets and love waking up to step on the scale and see a lower number.  Not that it's always moving, I do have stalls and they frustrate me but I know it's part of the journey.

My advise to you post op would be to track your food and fluid intake daily and be more active.  I've found that as the weight has come off the activity level naturally has gone up. Oh, and don't forget your vitamins.  Very important!

Thanks for checking out my page!  M
