Same as a thousand other stories on OH. Obese since early childhood. Have lost 100 pounds at least 3 times in my life. Lowest adult weight was 175lbs. In college. After starving myself for 5 months. Literally, I drank one slim fast a day for 5 months. How crazy was that?
I had lap RNY performed by Dr. Nick Nicholson of Plano, TX on 7/20/07. I now look forward to a long and healthy life. May I add that I don't know how much longer it would have taken me to quit smoking if I hadn't HAD to do it for the surgery! Funny, I don't even miss the damn things now.....
I am married, as of 3 years ago (yeah, I know...nothing like starting late!) with no children. Not intending to have any, either. No offense to all you Moms, and "sorry about that" to my own. I think my parents have stopped bugging us to have kids (for now) because they think I was waiting for the surgery, and that once I'm no longer obese I will want to get pregnant. I don't see that happening. Again, nothing against babies.....I just don't think I could eat a whole one (especially now. Bwah ha ha ha ha!)
