Hello again,

Well, it's been almost a month since my surgery. I'm happy about the weight loss so far. At first the lbs seemed to be just vanishing, now things are a bit slower. I have to stop weighing myself so often. The scale seems to go up an down 1-2 lbs/day over the last few days. I know that hydration plays a big part in that. I'm just so affraid that this is it and that I won't lose anymore. CRAZY huh. I need to excersize more, but with the heat.......at the end of the day, I'm nauseated, exausted, and hurting all over. I know, excuses.........excuses. I have to get my butt in gear. Well that's all for now.

Hello Friends,
This is my first post for "My Story." I am going to have surgery 11 days from today. I'm excited, nervous, happy, and afraid all at the same time. I will be going to the Bariatric Foundation Hospital in Oklahoma for my surgery which is about 450 miles from my home in Marion Arkansas. My father will be traveling with me (my husband can't leave work) and leaving the rest of my family behind. I believe that getting the VSG will enable me to make a life long change in the way I eat and live, thereby helping me to overcome diabetes (and all the things that go with it).
