Debra Manus I am so sorry about the difficulties you have been experiencing with your surgery. I pray everything will be okay for you.. I feel like we were in this journey together because of the same surgery date and the excitement of posting to the board everyday leading up to the actually surgery. I on the other hand have been doing great since my OPEN RNY. I pray you will get over this hurdle and have a joyous outcome!! GOD BLESS...

Debra, I gained 19lbs in fluids while in the hospital. I lost it all plus the weight I should have lost!

Debra: Call your doctor. It maybe only irrated from the NG tube or your are swallowing too fast, but dont take a chance - CALL YOUR DR. We don't want you missing out on your AMOS family.

Hi Debra: I don't know if this is your problem, but everytime I have surgery that happens to me. It is the result of the breathing tube they use during surgery. In my case, I wake up with a sore throat and it stays sore, and feels closed up for about 2 1/2 weeks!! If you haven't had a sore throat prior though, you may want to call your doc, maybe you've got a sinus infection or strep throat. Don't take chances sweetie. Take care and hope you feel better soon. Also, try sugar free halls cough drops, they'll make you feel a bit better. Hope this helps hon. HUGS

Hi Deb - so glad you are doing better and congratulations on the weight loss. I know it's been a tough couple of weeks. Hopefully things will get better every day now. Think about you often and am really sorry we could not make the phone connection while you were in the hospital. Take care and be safe. Don't over do it - get plenty of rest. Marilyn
