drain tube?? - does everyone have a drain tube when they go home from the hospital?  How did I miss this in the literature they gave me?

One more week till surgery - My doctor's office called and they had a cancellation so now I have 6 more days till surgery.  I am scared and happy and all at the same time.  Any advice is welcome!
