My name is Sara and I'm 25 years old and I weigh 367 pounds and I am 5 foot 6 inches. On November 3, 2010 I applied for Medicaid to try to get in the process of getting weight loss surgery. I really am not picky at this point what type I get, though I would more likely prefer something less permanent.
My sister is I think 2 years post op gastric bypass and she went from 320 pounds to 195 pounds at 5 foot 11 inches. She is doing well and is skinny and doing good with her weight.
I'm currently a full-time college student to become a medical transcriptionist, which is a work from home career. It's bad because I am already this insane weight and my job will to sit at a computer all day at home. This is another reason on top of the medical issues I have including obesity to get this surgery.
I am really hoping I get accepted and to journey through this as so many others have and to make as many friends in the process as possible.
