Well, I am 24 days out from surgery. I lost 39 pounds the first 2 weeks, but don't know how much more.
I have an open wound with 2 tunnels in it; pretty gross but a nurse comes twice a day to pack it. I am not supposed to be driving but have to take my son to school in the morning.
My mom has been ill and was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. We thought she had a stroke. She was SO confused and acting weird. WOW. They are still doing testing on her.
I am having trouble getting in my protein just because I am not hungry. My nutritionist had me eating ground meat 2 weeks after surgery and now I am eating well cooked veggies. Sunday, I don't know if I ate too much or didn't chew too well, but I was uncomfortable for a couple hours, then vomited. So, back to cottage cheese and protein shakes. But, today I had some turkey and i was fine.
I find myself watching the food channel. I ENJOY watching people eat now!! Even though I can't! I especially enjoy watching shows with hot peppers on them and I don't usually like hot things. But look out, when I can have them, I will be at Don Pablos eating Tex-Mex!!
Good luck to all of you in your journey; it is so worth it. Even though I had a slight complication, I can still breathe and walk (I couldn't even breathe prior to surgery when walking slowly!) and my clothes are just hanging on me! I can't wait to weigh myself!!
