Ok, I know that when you're overweight that one does not want their pictures taken.  I'm not like jumping around saying "take my picture, take my picture" but I didn't think that I was hiding from the camera either.  I tried to find pictures to download for my profile and only found a handfull since last summer.  

I have to admit that I am usually behind the camera as I am particular on how pictures are taken.  I've been training DH ;), guess I should hand him the camera more often.

We have taken over 1,200 pictures since the first of 2007 - you think there would be one decent one of me.  (Yes 1200 in less than six months)  Did I mention that I like taking pictures?

I received my surgery date yesterday - July 24th.  Two birthdays in one month (mine's July 15th).  I can't wait but yet I can.  What a mixture of emotions, excited, scared, nervous, elated, etc.  

There is such amazing support out there and I am blessed to have great support within my network of friends and family.  

I am looking forward to being more active and my weight not getting in the way.

Wow, I am glad I did more research.  I was planning on having the RNY but after researching more and hearing comments regarding the DS I have decided the DS is the right surgery for me.   

On Monday I went to a DS support group.  It was great and so informative.  There were people there ranging from over 5 years out to a few people like me who had not had surgery yet.

I'm hoping to have surgery in late-July.
