Today I found out that I got approval from my insurance company. Now I just need to set the date! I am in Florida visiting my parents and tomorrow I am going to visit Bariatric Eating. I hope to find some liquid protein and other things that will be good to have in the house after my surgery.
I am so excited!! I am also a little nervous, but I can't wait to get on the losers bench and start this new exciting chapter in my life! My doctor's office offered me a date of February 21. While I would LOVE to jump at that date, I have 3 kids to make arrangements for and I am helping my husband move his office at the end of the month. I will try to schedule for some time after Easter vacation so that I can make all of the arrangements that I need to make.
I spoke with 2 people that had the surgery 4 years ago. They are both very happy that they had it done. One of them told me that the best tip she could offer me was to rent a chair that lifts you up automatically. I will look into that. She said that she ate and slept in the chair for 3 weeks!
