Dr. Gregory Barnes did a scope yesterday at Victory Medical Center....all looks well.  Hope this is the last step and now everything goes back to the insurance....hope I get approved SOON!!!!

So I met with Dr. Gregory Barnes today. Was very impressed with him. My husband came with me and surprisingly my husband liked him too!!   This is going to be good!

If anyone is looking to have surgery, PLEASE make sure that the doctor is in your Insurance Network.  After going through all the steps to get approved by the insurance, I was told today I was denied because Dr. Dirk Rodriguez is not in my Network, UGH!!!!!!

I take all the blame for not checking to make sure...I feel so DUM!  I did find a new doctor, Dr. Gregory Barnes who is in my Network so I'm hoping that Dr. Dirk's office will cooperate and send all my papers over to Dr. Barnes so I can get a surgery date.

I will not give up on this!!!

Cigna said I should have an answer this week after reviewing everything turned in.  Omg so close but yet so far!   

...I'm biting my nails waiting for the call to say we have a date!   My general doctor sent in my clearance letter, its all sitting with the reviewers at Cigna.  I can't believe how close I am but yet so far...need a date!!!  LOL LOL, can you tell I'm excited?

All my steps are completed...now everything goes to the Insurance company for approval so I can get my surgery date!  This is so exciting.

I went to the doctor and had my lab work done and stress test.  I have completed everything required by the Insurance company.  Now I wait for a surgery date...this is so exciting I can't sit still...hey call it excercise.  :)

OH my gosh!  I'm totally obsessed with looking at Before and After pictures.  The transformations are incredible and the smiles on each face tells the story.  I can't WAIT to post my Before and After Pic.

My husband took a picture of me sitting on the sofa...I was so surprised to see how large I really was, it dampened my spirit and I started (again) the quest to find the right diet to make me lose weight.  I have tried them ALL!  Some worked, while others just made me hungrier.  I always gained the weight back.

The decision to have surgery just feels right.  I have only shared with my close friends and of course family.  They are such a great support for me.  I have God in my life so I fear not as I know He is watching over me. 

I have one more step which I will finish up this week with my doctor and then its time to get a surgery date; I can't believe how close I am.

I have one more step to go before surgery is scheduled.  I have tried every imaginable diet; lost 40 lbs with one that all I can eat was certain veggies and fruits for 2 days and milk for 2 days while wearing Acupressure balls behind my ears.  It worked fine but I didn't really learn to eat and this type of diet was extreme.  So once I got off I gained all the weight back less 5 lbs.

Yes, I'm doing this for health reasons; get off Hypertension meds is one.  Diabetes runs in my family and I want to avoid being the next family member to get...not this chick!  I look forward to exercising without pain in my feet, being winded after a short period.

Then I have to be honest...I LOVE TO DRESS!  I have made it a skill to dress nicely and in style as a plus size woman but I'm tired of wearing cardigans with all my sleeveless summer dresses to avoid showing my arms.    I can't wait to shop on the other side where the smaller dresses are, WOOT WOOT....now I do intend to have my dresses altered once I've reached goal weight...no waste here.
