The closer it gets the more nervous I become. Two weeks and 1 day until surgery. I have my last presurgery appointment with the dietician tommorrow and am scared because she won't tell me specific foods that I cannot have after surgery. She keeps saying right now you don't need to worry about that we just need to concentrate on learning correct food choices and eating 6 times a day. I have been doing really great on this but want to know specifics like can I eat corn, peas, popcorn after surgery (after healing of course). Guess I will find out sometime, I am not the most patient person....... One good thing I have been exercising for 2 - 15 minute sessions a day.

YES!!! A definite surgery date of 3/12/07!!!! CAN'T arrive soon enough. I am so excited and so scared. But I know it is the right decision for me. I have completed 2 dietician consults and am now on a 1300 calorie diet. I have my 3rd visit on the 26th and my preop on the 5th which I will then start the liquid diet. Not looking forward to that one. But I am looking forward to being able to tie my shoes (not buy slip ons), walking up stairs without being short of breath, going to ANY store and buying clothes, being able to fall asleep without cutting off my breathing. The psychologist wanted me to find an angel on OH. Does anyone know how to go about getting one? Well I will add pics soon.

Well today was not a good nutrition day. I was not able to resist old ways. Very stressed out at work and meal (snack) choices certainly show my poor choices. Salty and sweet same old me with same old head games. Had state surveyors in house as well as corporate in doing audit. What a crazy stress filled day......... State back again tomorrow hopefully I can destress without food.!!!!!! |
