One more appointment tomorrow morning for ultrasound on my gallbladder then I am done until surgery.  I meet with the surgeon office today had to sign the paperwork~ consent.  Also, that I understand the complications.  Then off to the hospital to meet with the dietian for my special diet and I am ready now.  Let's go LOL.  I did find out my surgeon has had 3 deaths not one.  That's a little scary, but I feel like he's experienced, and an overall good decision.  All I know is I better come home.  And that's no LOL.

Had to meet with my PCP for chest x-ray, ekg and Lab work.  Oh did I tell you I hate needles.  I get faint when I see them. The poor lady taking my blood kept asking me if I was alright.  I'm such a chicken ~ I am soo nervous about the IV's it's freaking my out, the rest I won't see ~ out of sight out of mind.  Which is good for me.  My ultrasound for my gallbladder was scheduled for next Monday but I have two appts there already for pre-op stuff.  So I was trying to get ahold of them to re-schedule but of course I was on hold forever.  So I hung up, oh well I'll call back tomorrow from a land line not my cell phone, That sounds like a plan!  I feel like a chicken running around with my head cut off. LOL.  On Friday I have the first IV it is for the endoscopy, that doesn't look funny either.  Boy, this better be worth it.  Take care.

 This is how I felt waiting during this process.    Honestly it wasn't even that long.

My surgery is set for October 29th..I'll be coming come on Halloween, My kids are not like that.  But, for one of the first times in my life I am putting myself first.  I had to set up some other pre-op apts too.  PCP to do chest x-ray, ultrasound, ekg and lab work.  Dietian apt, scope apt which is a little scary,  and finally the apt with the surgeon's nurse to sign paperwork and for them to go over all the risk and procedures.  I might need a drink after that one. 

Called Insurance before they closed for the night they said...I am approved...Thank You God.  Thank you also to my friend here on OH who helped me through the waiting process, which I thought was going to overcome me.

Called the insurance today in the morning.  The guy was nice he said very very soon try later today we are open until 7pm.  So I couldn't help it..it was driving me nuts so I called at 2pm and the lady was kind of rude..she said we have 14 days we'll call you.  I'm thinking okay, I'll call back later LOL.  So I'll know soon..that's good.  Maybe I'll get some sleep again soon.  It's pretty bad that I am dreaming about it too.  I sell advertising for a living and we have major deadlines right now, I've had to quit smoking and waiting on insurance isn't making life any less stressful.  HELP !!!  What to do.. I need a vacation that's what I need to do.  I have to think positive now.  I will get approved.  I just had to write it down that's 80% of a goal, right.  LOL.  Till next time.

So Yesterday, Monday October 1st~ Lori the insurance lady at the surgeon office submitted my paperworkto insurance. Today, Tuesday I called insurance having problem with my password on their site and wanted to verify they have it.  So "Regina" from UHC said I was approved, "Was not expecting that".  I said no really.  Their's no way she just submitted paperwork yesterday.  Regina said yup your all set.  I told her I'd have Lori call them.  So I did, Lori called back and said she misspoke however, it is with the nurse and being review should have response tomorrow or on Thursday.  I have my finger crossed.  
Support group tonight.  I feel alot more comfortable I had a chance to speak many of with my surgeon patients, they all love him, maybe I caught him on a bad day.??? I think I'll go to another consultation so I know what's out there.  I'll post as soon as I know more.  To all my OH friends thanks for your support.  Even the Bad Girls LOL

Wow.  I didn''t go like I thought It would.  He show me the RNY and drew all over the paper on how the 4 components are 1. Diet 2. exercise 3. head 4. surgery.  Also, he kept saying this is different and complex.  Different and complex.  I think only twice he answered a question I had.  I had over 100 question wrote down and he only let me ask  about 10.  It was like he's  not used to people asking him questions.  The thing is..is that he is the best in this area.  He's the guru and the one doing it the longest.  What do you do?? I dont know.  I  think I'll sleep on it.
