Neil S. Marymor, MD, FACS

"Dr. Marymor spoke to a small group to explain the different types of surgery offered at the Barix Center. All the details were illustrated to make it easy to understand. After that, Dr. Marymor saw each of us individually where he discussed which treatment would be best for me, according to what I was looking to achieve. He talked extensively about the details and the risks involved. I thoroughly understood everything and decided to go with the bypass, rather than the sleeve or the Lap Band. Dr. Marymor's office staff was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns I had as I moved along the insurance system, waiting for approval. No question went unanswered and if the person I was speaking to didn't know something, they checked and had an answer in a minute or less. Once the surgery was done, the Barix Center medical staff was unbelievable; so kind and considerate and so knowledgeable. As a patient, I had the best care I've ever had in a hospital over a 3-day stay. After the surgery, and being home for 2 days, I got a call on the Friday night of the 4th of July weekend. It was Dr. Marymor, calling to check up. What surgeon personally calls after surgery? And on the Friday night of a holiday weekend? That's what makes Dr. Marymor stand head and shoulders above any other doctor I've ever dealt with. Oh, and one more thing: a week later I had some concern about a new pain I was having when first sitting down or standing up. I was afraid it might be a hernia. I called Dr. Marymor in the early evening, and he suggested I meet him at the center the very next morning. Yes, on a Saturday. Luckily, there was nothing to worry about. Dr. Marymor's post-op care and concern for his patients is outstanding! I'd give him 6 stars if I could."
