Well, it's been 5 days since my surgery. The last few days have been a bit blurry due to the pain meds. My surgery went okay, but the hospital experience was pretty bad. I had my surgery at Westchester Medical and I really expected better. I was very happy to come home on Thursday. The pain is gradually getting better, as is the ability to swallow medications. It was difficult to get pills down with tiny sips of water.I'm glad it's over and now look forward to healing my new tiny tummy. They told me not to get on the scale for a week or two...since most people gain a few pounds from water retention right after surgery, but curiosity won and I've lost 3 lbs..YAY!
Trying to get down the necessary protein, fluids and pills are getting a little easier, but it was quite a challenge the past few days.
