As I started this journey in May I realized that I had to do this if I wanted to live long enough to see grandkids. When I went to my first appointment with my primary care physician here in MI I weighted 321 and was having knee trouble from a previous accident in which she looked straight at me and told me that my knee wasn't going to get better until I lost weight. Her next sentence was have you ever thought of WLS and I told her yes but insurance wouldn't cover it she then told me that now it will. The next day I was at a seminar. She also advised me to use lose it app for my phone to keep track of my eating. The day that I went to the seminar I decided that I wasn't going to drink soda anymore and I started my healthy eating. Since that day I have lost 26 pounds and have began to walk at least two miles a day. I have not yet got a date specifically but was told to look forward to the last week in October. I am doing this for my child and my hubby so we can have tons more fun and a healthier lifestyle for all of us
