well its been 1 week since my surgery and im starting full liquids! fun wow! lol i feel great!

Eileen, Congradulations on making it to the other side! I had the same problem right after surgery ( and still screw up occasionally) with gulping. I have discovered two things that help. For several weeks post op, I used a straw all the time, and that really helped. Now I do better still if I drink with a straw or out of a bottle of water. If I use a glass. I gulp.. almost all the time. And I agree.. IT HURTS! You would think I would learn! Good luck.. the first 2-3 weeks are the worst.. and it will just begin to get better and better after that! 4 days post op who would of thought! im feeling great..but i cant drink all that water! i had 1 bad experince i was taking a pain pill and just gluped the water like i used to ! i thought i was going to die from the pain... so i will never buy a big bottle again only small ones so i can remember... i know i should of but i wieghted myslef.. i lost 10 pounds already! i am so dran excited!!!!!!!!! yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee chow

Eileen, Congratulations on making it to the losing side. Remember, the first 2-3 weeks are the worst. I hope you are feeling better each day and your dreams will be fulfilled with this surgery. Ok im home from the hosptial.. i had surgery on the 28th and i home on the 30 go figure! im feeling very tired but gasy at the same so im trying to get up and walk around.. but sitting here like this is not good so i will talk to you all later chow

thank you to every one who emailed me..i couldnt of done it with out you all.. i leave in 20 minitutes my throat doesnt hurt to much today and isnt as red god i hope everything is ok.. see ya on the thin side CHOW
