I've been going to the gym for about 3 weeks now. The core exercises are working - I can feel that my abs are getting tighter even thru the flab! I had a session with my personal trainer Jeremy this afternoon. He showed me a new exercise (squat/row) plus he increased the weight on the leg press. My legs feel like rubber. I think I am going to hate Jeremy tomorrow.
My IBS decided to flare up today. Perhaps because I only had 247 calories all day yesterday? I hate dieting. Especially when I have to lose X pounds in X days. I start obsessing and I revert back to bad habits like not eating or severly restricting my calories. My surgery date is 3 weeks from today - after that I won't have to worry about it! No more dieting, just a lifestyle change to a healthier, happier me. Next week is my pre-op visit, so if I'm really good, I'll lose an additional 2 pounds to reach my goal of 5% pre-op weight loss.

I just realized yesterday that my bra was getting waaaay too big. I dug up a smaller size out of my bottom drawer, and it's snug, but at least it doesn't gap. Why is it that the first place the weight comes off is your boobs??? I also noticed that my size 28 pants are a little loose too, so I guess it's not just my chest that's losing weight. My back doesn't hurt today, hooray! Back to the gym for me!

I am on Week 4 of my low-carb pre-op diet to lose 5% of my body weight. I'm more than halfway there! When I go in for my pre-op visit on 6/12, I hope to have lost the whole 5%. I didn't go to the gym today because my back hurts like hell Oh well, hopefully tomorrow.
